Data Retention Policy

This Data Retention Policy explains how long WISH Education (wisheducation.in), operated by Swisspay Technologies Private Limited, keeps personal and transactional data, and when we delete or anonymise it.

This policy should be read with our Privacy Policy.

1. Principles

• We keep data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected.
• We may keep data longer when required by law (for example tax, accounting, dispute, or fraud-prevention obligations).
• When retention is no longer required, we delete or irreversibly anonymise data where feasible.

2. Retention periods

2.1 Account and profile data

Name, email, role, and profile fields are retained for the life of your account. After account deletion is completed, we remove or anonymise profile data within a reasonable period, except where a legal hold applies.

2.2 Learning / enrolment data

Enrolments, progress, and lesson completion records are retained while your enrolment is active and for up to 24 months after enrolment ends or the account is closed, unless a longer period is needed for disputes or compliance.

2.3 Payment and order records

Order references, payment status metadata, amounts, and related transaction records are retained for at least 8 years (or longer if required by applicable Indian tax / accounting / payment-partner rules). We do not store full card numbers on our servers; card data is handled by the payment provider.

2.4 Support and contact messages

Contact-form and support emails are retained until the request is resolved and then for up to 24 months for quality, dispute, and audit purposes.

2.5 Security and technical logs

Security, access, and diagnostic logs may be retained for up to 12 months, or longer if needed to investigate incidents, abuse, or fraud.

2.6 Marketing preferences

If we send optional marketing emails, preference / opt-out records are retained as needed to honour your choice.

3. Deletion and access requests

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data by emailing support@wisheducation.in from your registered email. We may retain certain records where required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or accounting purposes even after a deletion request.
